Founded in 1988 as DocuTech, DTS began business providing technical documentation for high-tech industries. DTS has grown with the changing technology and expanded its technical product offerings.

DTS is owned by C. M. Dale, a member of the Muscogee Creek Nation whose tribal headquarters is in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
